Appointment of Dr. Wafaa Al Suwairi as Associate Dean, Female Medical Student Branch, COM-F, KSAU-HS

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Wafaa Mohammed Al Suwairi as the Associate Dean, Female Medical Student Branch, College of Medicine-Riyadh, COM-R-F,KSAU-HS. Dr. Al Suwairi is a graduate of King Saud University, Riyadh obtaining her MBBS in 1987. Prior to joining the National Guard Health Affairs in 2003, she completed her Pediatric Residency Training at Riyadh Military Hospital and obtained a Diploma in Child Health at the Maternity and Children's Hospital, Riyadh, and an Arab Board in Pediatrics in 1992 and 1994 respectively. In pursuit of clinical excellence, she completed a Fellowship in Clinical Pediatric Rheumatology at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH&RC) (1994-1996) that included an 18 month Advanced Molecular Biology Research observer ship at Case Western Reserve University at Cleveland, OH, USA (1996-1998). She obtained her certificate as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), Edinburg, UK in 1993 and her Specialist Certificate from the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), London, UK in 2007. She has held clinical and administrative appointment as Consultant, Pediatric Rheumatologist, Riyadh Armed Forces Hospital, Pediatric Department, Riyadh Armed Forces Hospital (1999-2003), Consultant, Pediatric Rheumatologist, Department of Pediatrics, KAMC-R (2004-present), and as Head, Division of Pediatric Rheumatology, King Abdullah Specialist Children's Hospital (KASCH) (2015-present). She is a member of various National and International Pediatric Rheumatology Associations and societies.
